Cut half along width or length. Put it over other piece. Repeat this 2 more times. Hence in 3 cut you will get 8 symmetric pieces

Cut it vertically and horizontally from the middle.. now it's equal in pieces .. overlap one on another.  Now cut vertically or horizontally.. we get 8 symmetrical pieces..

Cut the cake in 2equal halves and we get 4 pieces and cut the cake in the middle then we get Another 4 pieces then totally we get 8 pieces

Cut the cake two times diagonaly: that makes 4 cakes. Now cut the cake horizontally to give 8 pieces.

first, take a rectangular cake and give the number 1,2,3,4 clockwise to every corner of cake and process first cut from 1 toward 3 and second from 2 toward 4, and the third cut performs where the first two cuts merged at the centre of the cake and the half distance of 1 to 4 and 2 to 3.
