I worked in multimedia Team, but totally different from Assessment test and On field work! particularly for animators or creative peoples are not able to develop there skills in E&Y! I really impressed during the interview process about the assessment test( that includes Character animation, motion graphics animations) but after joining E&Y, there no creative works, they are doing only Emailer design, PPT design, Simple E-banners and subtitles for video footages! I know E&Y is best MNC, even my friends working in Security field, development field! For them E&Y is best and great! But for Multimedia team, they giving different assessment test when comparing to on field work! ...Read More

This things they have to clear while interviewing candidates! I quite E&Y the next 5months! After that Covi, lockdowns and all! Now am jobless till now! Excellent work culture, great monetory benefits, rewards and recognition, flexible work timings, ample chances for high visibility. Management is quite respectful towards the employees.

Dislikes

It depends upon the practice (group) you get recruited by. Not much good projects are there. Maximum duration of a project on average is 2 months. The scope of sectors are quite less. The quality of the deliverables and the existing domain knowledge of the employees needs to be improved and enhanced a lot. Additionally, the organization must also bring in projects on other competitive cloud domains in the market. In GDS, the focus is more on the billing hours rather than the quality and getting more client engagements....Read More

EY is one of the best professional firm I have ever worked with. There are lots of learning and skill development opportunities, EY badge program is the highlight. You may get lots of career growth opportunities if you are in a service line, again it depends on the teams you are in. Excellent work culture and team culture, many wonderful employee engagement programs are there. If you are passionate in CSR, EY is the one of the best place you can work. There are many employee wellness programs and the reward and recognition program is outstanding....Read More

Work life balance is a question and again it depends on the teams you are in. You can't simply climb up your career ladder by doing your job as per your JD, satisfying your clients, there are many criterias to consider you for a promotion or progression including your participation in CSR activities. Because of these additional employee engagements, you may struggle to maintain a work life balance. ...Read More

Literally nothing. EY GDS is a trap. There is no learning whatsoever. It's a mere copy and paste job. If you're anyway there, try to leave as soon as possible because otherwise it will just get difficult to leave since you're technically not learning or upskilling yourself

Dislikes

EY GDS is a trap. There is nothing that you'll learn whatsoever. It's a mere copy-paste kind of a job. The more you stay here the difficult will it get for you to leave as you're not learning or upskilling yourself after years of experience. There is no work life balance. You will be expected to be available during your personaltime as well. Working for 12-13 hours and on weekends will get you loads of appreciation. The salary is abysmal at best as compared to the work that they make you do. The manager will deny your leave and give a baseless excuse. You can be sick and still be expected to work. Appraisals don't really appreciate people who need recognition. It's completely based on how your manager puts your word out and how their senior take it. So yes, unless you're desperate and completely out of work, do not get into this. If you get into this, get out as soon as possible for your future's sake. You do get the big 4 brand but they don't even do what the actual Big 4s do. For that kind of work it's best to get into EY India instead the delivery centers. ...Read More

Good work environment and culture. Teammates are supportive and the management is transparent. There is a huge cafeteria and gaming arcade for chilling. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every year.

Dislikes

There is a lot of politics and the management doesn’t address our issues. Salary is decent but career growth is slow. There is a bond of 2 years before which you cannot resign. On the job training is not given to new joinees.

Work Details

The job is quite interesting! I struggled a bit in the beginning as there was no formal training session. I learnt everything on the job. I got a chance to wear multiple hats and that helped me get a taste of different roles within the same team.

You'll learn a lot within less time. Along with that you get udemy for free so you can learn anything you want. Even managers promote learning new things.

Dislikes

I will restrict my review to the SAP practice of EY since I work there. Sometimes the work can get overwhelming. They are heavily under resourced. So you have to work more than 8 hours a day sometimes. Some practices are very old. They still use excel for project management. Benefits are also not great. No joining kit. Just the laptop and it's charger. No WFH compensation. So do not expect anything other than your salary. Working weekends is normal over here to complete projects. So overall I'd say work culture and management needs to get better but as an employee you can learn a lot within a short span. ...Read More

Very bad/poor Work Life balance. The internal politics & work culture is bad. Senior leadership lacks focus & vision. The attrition is very high - you will always see open positions/hiring going on. You will be thrown into any project or engagement & most of the times it will not match your skills & career goals. When you leave the company: even the paid/earned leaves are not paid/encashed. You have job security, efforts are valued in terms of growth. Everything and all the managers, leadership team is quite transparent. Good work life balance. Ample leaves and nobody can stop you from taking those leaves. Love to work with EY

Dislikes

There is nothing to dislike about EY but only and only the pay. Both CTC and the variable pay. The hike is pathetic. Even after getting a promotion, few people like me dint end of getting a good hike. I am not sure if this is the case across EY but yes this happened to me and fee of my freinds working here. Apart from this everything and every aspect is perfect in EY. I would love to work here for my lifetime if the pay was atleast good, even if not great ...Read More
