Good work environment and culture. All working teammates supportive and the management is transparent. Our company policies are very good,they give salary hike and bonus every year.

The life and job is quite interesting, I struggled a bit in the beginning as there was no formal training session. I got a chance to wear multiple hats and that helped me get a taste of different roles within the same team.

-I worked in HTO process, Google maps (client), omega B, Hyd. Training and mentoring were excellent. I was surrounded by brilliant and wonderful people at work. I would say that professionalism was a personal trait here, some were professional and others were not. Female leads and female managers should learn professionalism. -Workwas good, I always felt motivated and challenged. An event called rewards and recognition was held, wherein the best employees were awarded with a certificate. it feels motivating when your hard work is recognized. -There would be frequent IJP's(Internal job postings), that helps in your career growth. -Employee engagement events are frequently held and festivals are always celebrated. -Food and transport are provided by google as a benefit. -Transport is a major benefit for women employees staying far away form the office but unfortunately the transport department was unprofessional, incompetent and highly disorganized. Transport was nodal point pick up and drop, it doesn't matter if your home is 7 km away from the nodal point!. Management & HR never tried to resolve any employee concern. Cab driver will ask you to come to the nodal point an hour before the pick up and you have to wait at the nodal point for almost an hour. Logout cab will come an hour late and take a break at the gas station for another 20min. and you will reach the nodal point very late. Cab drivers would chew tobacco and smoke and Friday evening logout cab drivers would be inebriated. They would never stop the cab at a red traffic signal and drive between 100-120 speed!. You would be tired and embarrassed of complaining every single day to the transport department. Even if you show them video proof, still no action would be take. -If pay is NOT an issue, you can work here but think again, by paying you less, they are undervaluing your labor. You have to question whether or not you want to work for people who don't operate with transparency and equitable practices....Read More

-What made me quit the job was their pay, there was no transparency in rating grades and salaries. There was no transparency in my final salary settlement as well. After resignation, there will be a meeting with the HR but that's just a formality, nothing would be offered to make the employee stay. -I was always praised and rewarded certificates for my work but rewards and praises don't pay bills, salary does. My coworkers were being paid higher ctc than me, even though we were the same tenure, doing the same job and equally hard working. When I questioned about the unfair pay, my lead was more annoyed that I discussed salary with coworkers and how it is a compliance issue!. There is no law in the world that says it's illegal to discuss your salary with your coworkers. Anybody telling you it's illegal to talk about pay with your coworkers is trying to save the company money and suppress worker pay. By making us afraid to talk about and compare our salaries, employers have created a situation that they can take advantage of by underpaying employees for as long as possible. -During lockdown, work was more stressful (10 hrs.) and challenging, as the process policies were changing at the blink of an eye and it was difficult to adapt to new policies so frequently. -Leaves were rarely approved. Leads would show absolute favoritism when approving leaves. I took leaves only when I was completely bed ridden but still, I was asked to show medical certificate and also was asked to work for at least a half day, I instead requested an LOP. But, favorite employees can take leaves as and when they need. -As per policy, working days are Monday-Friday but you will be literally forced to work on a Saturday as well. If you can't work on a Saturday, the lead will threaten you that not working an extra day will effect your grades, promotion, incentives & bonus. 1. Job Security - People who are on billing role don't need to worry. I was with cognizant for 11 years and always billable. I don't have any bad experience. But I know few cases during Pandemic cognizant asked to resign due to more days on bench. They used policy even during bad time. It was badly heart employees even safe. 2. Management - Same here with all service based companies. No difference. 3. Company Policy - Not employee centric. In India, Job security is one of major factor every employee considers as high priority. I have seen during Covid pandemic company has fired many people due to more days in bench or some other reasons. I am not sure what happened in recent years - lot of good working people left the organization.

I joined as Senior associate and promoted upto senior manager when i resigned. I was worked mostly in banking projects. Overall my work experience is good with customer whom i have worked. no more contacts is cognizant as no get together organized.

Cognizant has a very good work culture as compared to few of the other companies in the space. The experience might vary from person to person and depending on what domain you are in or what you're doing. In my case, I got really good training as a fresher but once you're allocated to the projects most of them are support projects and not much scope for growth is there. In terms of salary and benefits, I would say it's not that great when you compare to its American counterparts. When it comes to job security, you can be rest assured. there is no option to select NIL against Compensation and Benifits if it is there i would rather select that instead of 1 star rating. Past 7 years i am working in that company in that past 4 years i got some lame reasons from my manager to not give me promotions. Working in this company will give to desperation and depression instead of job satisfaction. Bad politics played by manager not all but most of them. first 3 years was good because i got allocated to a long term stable project though there is so much of work my Team was very understanding and everything went well. But unfortunately i never got a project like that after I asked for a location change. Since then my salary increments are NIL also promotion. I have been switching the projects in every year (not due to my fault due to ramp down happened in projects due to fund issue) and all that badly and inversely affected me.
